Level 2 Water Restrictions - Warialda and Gravesend Water Supplies
Residents of Warialda and Gravesend are advised that existing Level 3 Water Restrictions have now been reduced to Level 2 Water Restrictions after favourable weather conditions and a significant reduction in the demand for water.
Fixed sprinklers may only be used for two (2) hours between 8:00pm and 8:00am.
Use of handheld hoses is permitted by residents at any time of the day, however use is recommended after 8:00pm and before 10:00am.
Waterwise Restrictions – Bingara and North Star Water Supplies
Despite recent rainfall, Gwydir Shire Council has made a commitment to the continuous conservation of water. With approximately 50% of the state still declared as drought affected and a forecasted increase over the coming months, ongoing Waterwise practices will aid in ensuring future water supplies for our region.
Residents of Bingara and North Star are advised that Waterwise Restrictions will now remain in place until further notice.
Fixed sprinklers should only be used between 5:00pm and 10:00am.
Use of handheld hoses is permitted for watering at any time of the day.
