Level 1 Water Restrictions – Gravesend

Published on 10 February 2025

Gravesend Water Restrictions (1).png

Water restrictions in Gravesend are effective from 4:00pm, Monday 10 February 2025.

The use of sprinklers or fixed handheld hoses are prohibited between 8am and 8pm.

Reason: Gravesend water supply is struggling to keep up with demands and reservoirs levels are falling to a critical level where action needs to be taken. There has been no recent rainfall and high daily temperatures are drying things out very quickly. Residents need to restrict their use of water to the nighttime hours to ensure the most effective use of the water.

Estimated Duration of Restrictions: Until end of February 2025 – reviewed weekly.

For further information, please contact the Warialda Water team on the on call phone number 0428 291 206.

Updates will be posted on Council’s website https://www.gwydir.nsw.gov.au/Council/Shire-News

Please note, water levels are monitored on a daily basis and a higher level of restriction maybe introduced if supply levels cannot be maintained.

Yours faithfully
