Road Prioritisation Overview

Gwydir Shire Council is dedicated to ensuring our regional road network is resilient, sustainable, and responsive to the needs of our community. Since the project began in 2022, we have gathered invaluable data that informs road maintenance and upgrade decisions across the region.

To build on this progress, we need your input. By contributing feedback on property production levels and freight routes, you’ll help us improve the way we prioritise road works, ensuring that resources are allocated where they are needed most.

Survey Purpose

Your voice matters!

The purpose of our location-based surveys is to collect accurate, firsthand information from the people who use our roads daily. This feedback will directly impact future infrastructure planning, road maintenance, and upgrades.

By filling out the surveys, you’ll be helping us understand which roads are most critical to local production and freight, and where improvements can have the greatest impact on safety and connectivity. You’re invited to complete as many surveys as relevant to your experiences with the road network.

Prizes to Be Won

As a thank you for taking part in this important community engagement effort, Council is offering some exciting prizes!

By completing one or more surveys, you’ll be automatically entered into a random draw. Two lucky participants will win a $5,000 fuel voucher, and five additional participants will receive a $100 IGA voucher.
